Waikato Waldorf School provides an engaging education that affirms children as individuals. The school’s principals are based on the educational ideas of Rudolf Steiner. What every parent would wish as the best for his or her children, Waldorf education provides. An artistic approach is applied to all subjects writing, reading and mathematics are introduced through pictures, stories and activity.
Through art the curriculum works into the child’s life and the content is made living and interesting. Hand craft skills, music, dance, sport activities and gardening are an integral part of learning through doing. By working out of the indications of Rudolf Steiner we will provide children with meaningful learning experiences in an environment imbued with love and warmth. Our aim is to carefully nurture and protect the physical, emotional, social and spiritual nature of each child, which allows them to unfold at their own pace in a healthy way. The children were given a tour of the outstanding Surf Club before talking about the sun smart policy question your kids if they remember and the rules that should be followed at the beach to retain safe. Sue’s award was for the outstanding work she has done on the Eco Hut and Jadzia’s for her maintenance of the worm farm. The Board is the employer of the teaching staff and ultimately responsible for all aspects of the school’s operations, including legal matters. The role of the chairperson is to steer the meetings of the Board to liaise with the Principal on matters where governance and management interact and to act as spokesperson for the Board. Well, when you go to an innovative Steiner school, you soon find out that neither foul weather nor deficit of a school pool will stop our kids enjoying their swimming sports
