Waikato Society of Arts is a not for earnings organization dedicated to serving the art needs of the visual artist and art lovers at every stage of their development. BSA works to enrich the community by supporting growth and development of the visual arts through classes, exhibitions, forums and fellowship. Set up and hosted by the Waikato Society of Arts this nationally meaningful painting and printmaking award is an crucial event on the arts calendar in the Waikato and beyond. The BSA Office, Art School and the Next Slick Gallery are located on Level 1 of the ArtsPost Building, 120 Victoria Street, Hamilton, New Zealand.
Now in its 17 Ch year the Fresh Zealand Painting and Printmaking Award or the NZPPA, as it is known, has a arrogant history of presenting a well rounded group exhibition that forms a portion of the Hamilton Arts Festival featuring artwork produced by many of Fresh Zealand’s top artists alongside the generous on a meaningful award. The exhibition is the major visual arts event at the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival and is begin to the public. The Waikato Society of Arts has supported the development, education and presentation of the arts since 1934 through workshops, arts classes, exhibitions, gatherings and meetings. BSA holds numerous exhibitions each year and we are especially arrogant of hosting the National Youth Art Award and the New Zealand Paint and Printmaking Award both attracting entries from all over New Zealand
