He has done a huge variety of postgraduate training, including pediatrics, sports, visceral and obstetrics. His youngest patient so far was 5 minutes old and his oldest was 101 years old. Damian Kitcheman BSc Hons Ost graduated from the British School of Osteopath In 2002. With extensive postgraduate training he is well skilled using structural, cranial and visceral techniques. He has a special interest in visceral organ manipulation and the effect of the organs on the musculoskeletal system.
As a teaching assistant for the Barral Institute, Damian provides post graduate training for health professions wishing to learn the art of visceral manipulation, both in NZ and Australia. He is a happily married father of three, keen vegetable gardener and multi sporter, having recently completed the 2014 Coast to Coast. Marcia Mitchley BAppSc Hum Biol MOst is a New Zealand trained osteopath, gaining a Master of Osteopathy at Unitec in Auckland. David Thomas BSc Hons Ost graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2002 and spent several years gaining experience in a number of private osteopathic clinics as well as being the in house osteopath for a large commercial company in the UK. He moved to New Zealand in 2006 and has been with The Osteopathic Clinic since.
Through this and other experiences he has a particular interest in t reating sports related injuries and looking at sporting technique as a way of preventing injuries. Kylie Fletcher BAppSc Hum Biol MOst gained her Bachelor of Applied Science in human biology and then her Masters of Osteopathy at Unitec , Auckland, New Zealand and is a Kinesio Taping Practitioner. She continues her professional development in many areas, such as treatment during pregnancy, specific fascial release and biomechanics, along with continued study in her special interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Kylie’s interest in osteopathy began when she sought treatment for injuries sustained in years of training in the martial arts.
Kylie is also certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment SFMA which is a more in depth movement based diagnostic system, assessing Functional movement patterns in those with known musculoskeletal pain. LeeAnn has a particular interest in women's health, visceral organ techniques and mind body medicine, and is currently pursuing further education in these areas. Tessa Little BAppSc Hum Biol MOst trained to become an osteopath by completing her Master of Osteopathy at Unitec in Auckland. Tessa enjoys seeing people reap the benefits of osteopathy and is constantly looking to expand her expertise in all areas of osteopathy through further education.
Oliver enjoys treating people from all walks of life and at various ages and is keen to restore people to health so that they enjoy life again. Cynthia Port BAppSc Hum Biol MOst graduated from the 5 year osteopathy programme at Unitec in Auckland at the end of 2003. Cynthia enjoys using a wide range of treatment modalities and helping patients of all ages benefit from osteopathy. She has a particular interest in treating pregnant women and babies, including any breastfeeding issues

From the earliest to the most advanced medicines, it is recognised that the body has the ability to treat itself.
He went on to pursue a life of study and practise in medicine and osteopathy. He was born in 1828 and was brought up in and around Macon County, Missouri. Dr Still was a typical frontier physician, like most of his colleagues, he did many things besides practice medicine farming, mechanical work and fighting in the Civil War. When his wife and three of their children were claimed by spinal meningitis, it drove him further onto discovering why people became sick. Faced with cynicism towards his developing science, Dr Still became a roaming physician, first through Kansas, then to Missouri, practising his mechanical skills and talking to all that would listen as he went.
By 1889 the large numbers of people travelling to his recently founded infirmary were drawing more attention to his approach and the validity of his treatments. The quantity of patients and the demand for osteopathy was so high that he was forced to stay in Kirksville, Missouri, where three years later he opened the American School of Osteopathy. , Rollin Becker D. , Harold I. President Theodore Roosevelt received a successful osteopathic treatment which helped its benefits to became officially recognised in the USA. Dr John Martin Littlejohn, another of Dr Still’s original students, took osteopathy to Europe in 1917. He founded the British School of Osteopathy in London, which was subsequently joined by the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy and the European School of Osteopathy in Kent.
