What you should know about Footwork Dancesport Stydio
Footwork Dancesport Studio is a purpose built dance studio close to the centre of Hamilton, with a large floor, mirrored walls and ample spectator seating. Today, Footwork has a reputation for being a friendly, social studio offering high quality dance tuition. Our main objective in our beginner classes is to teach Ballroom and Latin American dances so that you can dance them within a reasonably short period of time. So enrol in our next 10 week beginner course check the Beginners page for details and by the end of your first 10 weeks you will be able to dance your first four dances the Waltz, Rhythm Foxtrot, Mambo and Cha Cha Cha more than enough to get you up and dancing at the next social or wedding, and you’ll have met a great group of people as well.
Grab yourself a tea or coffee from our rec area, take a seat and watch a class in progress. When Michael registered for a beginner dance class more than 20 years ago he never expected to go past the first 10 weeks. But discovering a passion for dance he went on to train as a competitive dancer in all three styles Modern Ballroom, New Vogue and Latin American before trading his dance shoes for overseas adventures. Since returning to the world of dance Michael has qualified as a professional licentiate Ballroom and New Vogue, as well as associate Latin dance teacher with the New Zealand Federation of Dance Teachers NZFDT and the Society of Australasian Teachers of Dance SATD . The first person you’re likely to meet at Footwork is Charles, our knowledgeable and friendly receptionist who is always willing to take the floor when a partner is needed
30pm 8. Our beginners dance classes run for 1 hour per week for a complete of 10 weeks.

If you’ve completed our novice classes or have been involved in Ballroom, Latin American or Fresh Stylish dancing at another studio, and want to attend a more advanced class, we have classes from Bronze to Oscar medal levels. Footwork Dancesport Studio is affiliated with the Fresh Zealand Federation of Dance Teachers NZFDT and the Society of Australasian Teachers of Dance SAT and therefore provides the opportunity for students to undertake a medal test at various levels in Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue. At Footwork, you can experience the thrill of ballroom dancing for the first time.
Our dance classes in Hamilton NZ are designed for people who want to learn ballroom dancing for the beginning time and have mirth doing it as well. When you've gained a insignificant confidence dancing the beginner moves, your teacher will move you up to this level. At the end of the course, you can take your dancing to the following level and move into our slick 2 novice class.
