If you’re looking for funky quilt fabrics, friendly staff, and fun quilting classes, you’ve come to the right place. Donna’s Quilt Studio carries all your patchwork and quilting supplies, and as we specialise in contemporary fabrics and original designs, we’re also your go to girls for the something different you’ve been trying to find. Our stock includes a huge range of batiks, black and whites, flannels, and many hard to get fabrics, as well as the oh so touchable new Cuddle range. Books, patterns, jelly rolls and kitsets make your job as a quilter so much easier and we also run a range of block of the month series and quilting classes to get your creative juices flowing.
Donna’s Quilt Studio has become the hub for a very active quilting community here in Hamilton many of our beautiful customers and students have become our beautiful friends as well and we’d love you to join us. Donna’s Quilt Studio is located at 8b Railside Place, Frankton Hamilton, where we have been since Donna first set up here in 2006, after many years being involved in the quilting industry as a well known quilter and instructor. Our premises are in a redeveloped Heritage Building that was once owned by New Zealand Railways
Unique techniques for creating dramatic pineapple blocks that quickly build into stunning quilts. Embellish the bodice with coordinating ribbons and use all those designer fabrics to make it unique and special. We will begin off the year with a Starter Load which will include 12 Fat Quarters 9 patterned and 3 solids and on the first Friday of each month you will be emailed out your block pattern or you could nominate to pick it up. This play day will enlarge your aptitude level and introduce you to fresh patterns and designs you will be able to use in your quilting.
hexes are back! Hand sewing is a relaxing, fun, rewarding and movable hobby. A collection of four plain to sew skirt designs Jodie pouf skirt, Gabriela Godel Skirt, Corinne Pleated Skirt and Adrienne Pieced Skirt. This brand fresh range from 'Tabby Road' from Eula Pink is based around a trivial Tabby Cat. You can choose where your fabrics will go in each of the nine monthly blocks. This play day will amplify your aptitude slick and introduce you to new patterns and designs you will be able to use in your quilting.
We have had a vast response from everyone who was in the programmed this year, with lots of certain comments from everyone. A trivial boy’s room would look total with this retro rocket quilt on his bed
