Following graduation, Chris created resources with the Continuing Mathematics Project for secondary schools. In New Zealand, Chris has taught maths, physics and information technology subjects to secondary students for over 20 years before joining the Polytechnic sector. After graduating with a Bachelor of Physical Education at Otago University, Shawn Martin became an HOD in Health and Physical Education. He is currently developing Health and Physical Education resources full time.
Dr Anne Hume is currently a Senior Lecturer in science and chemistry education and Chairperson of the Mathematics, Science and Technology Education Department at the School of Education, University of Waikato. She had 25 years as a secondary science and chemistry teacher before joining the Education Review Office for 4 years. in 2013, Duncan was the recipient of the Denis Hogan Chemical Education Award sponsored by ABA Resources Ltd. Kerry Hunt is an experienced teacher of Agricultural and Horticultural Science, Biology and Junior Science. Kerry has been involved in the Agricultural and Horticultural Science education sector for the last 18 years, this includes, teaching at Hillcrest High School, writing student workbooks, working for the Ministry of Education and other education institutions.
She has experience in curriculum implementation at school and national levels, particularly through her previous role as adviser at School Support Services, University of Waikato. Andrea Soanes is an experienced teacher of science, biology and education for sustainability. Dr Ian Taylor has taught secondary school science in several countries, taught at teachers’ colleges in two countries and was latterly Chairperson of a department at the School of Education, University of Waikato. Alec Smeaton is an experienced teacher of science, biology, agriculture and horticulture.
She was HOD Science at Waitaki Girls’ High School where agriculture is taught in years and biotechnology focuses on plant production and horticulture in year 9. He started writing schoolbooks in 199 and has since written several books in Economics and Business Studies for various publishers in South Africa. He was an analytical and research chemist at Ruakura Research Centre for 11 years and a teacher of chemistry and science at Hillcrest High School for 17 years, where he developed and pioneered the use of interactive workbooks to use in his chemistry and science teaching programmes. Maree taught for many years in Normal Schools where she was involved in the development of students from university Schools of Education
